Unlike KAYOU's collectible-only card lines, the My Little Pony Trading Card Game is fully playable — the Friendships Begin starter set contains six ready-to-play decks, and the Fantasy Wonderland, DISCORD!!! and Nightmare Night booster boxes expand your card pool. It is one of only two playable game lines we stock, alongside Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Yes. Every MLP TCG product we stock is printed in English. Booster boxes come in two English editions: the SEA edition and the NA edition sold through KAYOU's Australian distribution partner. The cards and the game are the same; the edition is printed on the box and each product page names which one you are buying.

Six ready-to-play decks in one sealed set — enough for two or more players to start playing straight away with nothing else needed. Booster boxes are the expansion path once you know the game.

To learn and play, yes. Booster boxes and packs contain no rules and no ready-made deck, so boosters on their own will not get a game started. Each Friendships Begin starter deck is a complete, pre-built deck with a playmat and the rules, and any two different decks make a two-player game. Fantasy Wonderland, DISCORD!!! and Nightmare Night boosters then add cards to build your deck with.

Start with the pony you like most. All six decks (Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity and Applejack) are complete, use the same rules and play against each other, and each follows its own character's Story. If you cannot decide, Twilight Sparkle leads the Mane Six and her deck follows the quest for the Elements of Harmony. For two players, choose two different characters.

They are the first three booster sets of the same game, released in that order. Each holds around 190 cards across 13 rarity tiers, five cards a pack and 20 packs a box, and every set's cards play together. Fantasy Wonderland introduced the Mane Six and the core locations, DISCORD!!! added Discord and Season 2 storylines, and Nightmare Night dresses the cast in Halloween costume with new Shining Colorful Rare chase cards. Any of them expands a starter deck; none of them replaces one.

Yes for Nightmare Night: we list the sealed 5-card pack on its own as well as the 20-pack display box, so you can try the set for the price of a pack or buy the box for the best odds at the top tiers. Earlier sets are stocked as boxes only.
