How Twilight Sparkle plays
KAYOU hasn't published an official archetype write-up for any of the six decks, so this page keeps to the confirmed frame. As the Mane Six's leader she is the set's flagship Main Character, her card sits in the Ruby Rare slot every starter reserves for its lead, and her 4 Story Cards follow the Elements of Harmony quest. Promoting her Main Character through that Story to stage four is one of the two ways her deck wins.
How the MLP TCG works
The My Little Pony Trading Card Game runs on two numbers: Force of Harmony, the cost you pay to put cards into play, and Inspiration, a Character's strength when it meets a rival in a Contact. Turns move through four phases — Starting, Main, Contact and End — across a board split into Scene, Story, Retirement and Adventure areas, with up to 3 characters in play on your Adventure. You win by promoting your Main Character to the stage four Story card, or when their Main Deck runs out of cards. Games run about 20–30 minutes and the game is rated ages 6 and up.
