What's in a pack

Five cards from Nightmare Night, Series 3 of the English My Little Pony Trading Card Game. The set has 190 cards to collect across 13 rarities, with the Shining Colorful Rare cards at the top of the ladder. For reference, a sealed display box holds 20 of these packs, though this listing is for a single pack.

The theme is Nightmare Night, the pony world's answer to Halloween: favourite characters dressed in costume, pumpkins, bats and haunted-forest artwork throughout.

What is new in Series 3

Nightmare Night is the pony world's Halloween, and the set is built around six original four-stage Story lines Hasbro wrote for the cards, one per Mane Six, from Twilight and the Royal Prank to Rarity and the Carousel Haunted House. Nightmare Moon, Princess Luna, Star Swirl the Bearded, Shining Armor and Princess Cadance join the Gold Rare tier, and Discord, Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra appear as Silver Rares.

The set introduces Treat tokens: a Treat sits on a Character in your Adventure Area, does nothing by itself, and is what several Nightmare Night characters and events care about, one per Character. Trick or Treat, Candy Tasting, Pumpkin Chucking and Apple Bobbing are among the events, and Treat tokens are already covered by KAYOU's Comprehensive Rules version 1.3.0.

How the MLP TCG works

This is KAYOU's genuinely playable My Little Pony line, not the Friendship Eternal collectible range. A deck is a 50-card Main Deck, a 15-card Scene Deck, four Story cards and one Main Character. Scenes pay Force of Harmony, the cost of playing cards, and Characters carry Inspiration, the number compared when lanes clash in the Contact Phase. You win by promoting your Main Character to the stage four Story card, or when your rival has to draw from an empty Main Deck. Games take roughly 20 to 30 minutes and the packaging rates the set ages 10 and up.

A booster pack is an expansion, not a starting point

A single pack adds to an existing card pool and contains no rules and no ready-to-play deck. If nobody in the house plays yet, start with a Friendships Begin starter deck: 70 cards, pre-built, with the rules printed on the included playmat.

When does it release and when will my order ship?

The English print reaches North American shops on 25 September 2026 and KAYOU's Australian distributor releases it here on 2 October 2026.
