Fantasy Wonderland is the first booster set of the English My Little Pony Trading Card Game, the one that put the Mane Six, their homes and the Season 1 episodes into the card pool, and the set every later set is measured against. This guide shows every one of the 191 cards tier by tier with its card number, names the six Season 1 episodes the set turns into Story cards, gives KAYOU's printed pull ratio, and explains what the set gives a deck. It is the set explainer: for what the chase cards sell for, read our Fantasy Wonderland value guide, which is refreshed monthly.

Everything here is about the English print (card prefix BP01). Two English boxes exist. The North American print, item code MLP-KP-HXQJ-001-NA, is the one KAYOU's official page describes: five cards a pack, 20 packs a box, 32 boxes a carton, a 140 by 140 by 50 mm display box, dated March 2026. The South-East Asian print, MLP-KP-HXQJ-001-UV, was the earlier run and the first English box to reach Australia. The two prints share every BP01 card number; they differ by the item code on the box, the packaging and the warning panel the North American box carries. We stock both, and a Chinese print shares the numbers too, so check the language and the item code before you compare anything. Card images on this page are KAYOU's own, from the official Fantasy Wonderland series page, which is the North American print.

Quick Answer: Fantasy Wonderland (Booster Pack 01) has 191 cards across 13 rarity tiers, five cards a pack and 20 packs a display box. Its 24 Story cards retell six Season 1 episodes, one per Mane Six, its six Emerald Scenes are Ponyville, Canterlot, Cloudsdale and Manehattan street scenes, and its twelve Shining Emeralds are the six Mane Six homes by day and by night. On KAYOU's pack ratio a box averages one Ruby Rare, one Shining Gold Rare and one Shining Emerald Rare, with the six Shining Ruby Rare Mane Six at about one per 32-box case. It plays with DISCORD!!!, Nightmare Night and the Friendships Begin starter decks. The North American box is on pre-order in Australia and the South-East Asian box is sold out for now.

    What Fantasy Wonderland is

The set is built on Season 1 of Friendship is Magic and on the six ponies that season introduces. Every tier above Common is the Mane Six first: Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity, always in that order, so a card number ending in 01 is Twilight and one ending in 06 is Rarity in every tier from Silver Rare to Shining Ruby. The Story cards are six Season 1 episodes cut into four stages each, and the stage names on the cards follow the episodes beat for beat:

    • The Ticket Master (Twilight Sparkle): Two Tickets to the Gala, Friends Frenzy, All or None, Wish Granted
    • Curing Philomena (Fluttershy): A Very Sick Patient, Intensive Care, Turning to Ash, Rebirth. This is the episode A Bird in the Hoof, named on the card for its plot.
    • Party of One (Pinkie Pie): Invitation Declined, Something Fishy, Sad & Lonely Pinkie, Surprise Birthday Party
    • Over a Barrel (Applejack): Bedtime Story, Train Heist, Tit for Tat, Bury the Hatchet
    • Griffon the Brush Off (Rainbow Dash): Old Pal Here, Welcome Party, Losing her temper, The Party Goes On
    • Suited For Success (Rarity): Too Much Advice, Fashion Flops, First Edition, Suited Up!

All 24 Fantasy Wonderland Story cards, one episode per row, stages one to four left to right

Each story is the four-card ladder your Main Character climbs to win, so the episode you pick is the objective of every game you play with that deck. Stage one of every story draws you a card when you reach it, stage four wins the game. The 24 Story cards are numbered BP01-C25 to C48, at the Common tier, so a full set of all six episodes comes out of a single box.

The rest of Season 1 is in the events, and most of them are a single scene you will recognise: Sunlight in the Rain is Rainbow Dash's weather work, Deliver letters is Spike breathing a scroll to Celestia, Award Ceremony is the Summer Sun Celebration crowd, Hair Curling is Rarity doing Applejack's mane for the Gala, Pillow Fight is Twilight at the slumber party, Wire Accident is the Cutie Mark Crusaders on the zip line, Hoof Power Test is Applejack bucking, Messy Henhouse is Fluttershy and the chickens, Accidentally Burnt Book is Spike's dragon fire, Cycling for Friends is the Crusaders' scooter and wagon, and Found Scroll is Owlowiscious with Twilight's letter. The seven items are things the Mane Six own: Super Spicy Sauce, Soda, a Horseshoe, Pinkie Pie's Flying Device, a Thimble Pack, Fluttershy's Bell and a Recorder.

    Card list and rarity ladder

The set runs to 191 card types across 13 tiers. Eight tiers form the base ladder and five are Shining (※). Every Shining tier but the Emeralds reuses base card numbers with different art, so in a listing the ※ before the number is the only difference in the code. The tier counts and the theme names in the last column are KAYOU's, from the official series page; the numbers are the ones printed on the cards.

RR※Shining Ruby6※BP01-RR01 to RR06Framed, signed Mane Six portraits, the top chase (Delightful Moments)

Two things about the numbers are particular to this set. First, the Emerald tiers carry the starter-deck prefix SD01 rather than BP01: the six Scenes that come out of booster packs are SD01-ER07 to ER12, and the twelve Shining Emeralds are ※SD01-ER01 to ER06. The Shining Emeralds are not the ※ versions of the six pack Scenes; they are the six Mane Six homes, the numbers ER01 to ER06 that belong to the home Scenes, each printed twice, once by day and once by night. Second, the Shining Golds and Shining Colorfuls share their numbers and rules text with the first six Golds and all twelve Colorfuls but carry different art, so a Shining Gold is a different picture of the same card, not a foil of it. The eleven Shining Sapphires are a hand-picked eleven of the 21 events, which is why their numbers skip.

    The chase tiers, pictured

The six Shining Ruby Rares are the cards a case is opened for. KAYOU calls the tier Delightful Moments: each is a Mane Six portrait inside an ornate frame with a gem at its crown, the artist's signature worked into the art, and no gameplay text, numbered ※BP01-RR01 to RR06 in the usual order. Twilight Sparkle reads with her horn aglow, Fluttershy drifts through a night sky of gems and butterflies, Pinkie Pie bursts out of a cake, Applejack bucks an apple tree in front of the barn, Rainbow Dash breaks a sonic rainboom and Rarity shows off a necklace.

The six Shining Ruby Rare cards of Fantasy Wonderland: Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity

The twelve Shining Colorful Rares are signature-stamped alternate arts, ※BP01-CR01 to CR12, two of each Mane Six, Twilight Sparkle to Rarity and round again, under KAYOU's heading Embarking on Adventures: Twilight reading with Spike at her side, Fluttershy mid-flight under the trees, Pinkie Pie with a map and her cannon, Applejack on a hilltop, Rainbow Dash trailing a rainbow, Rarity with a bolt of purple fabric, then Twilight with her books floating, Fluttershy in a meadow, Pinkie Pie among balloons, Applejack bucking apples, Rainbow Dash at sunset and Rarity on her fainting couch. They carry the same numbers and rules text as the base Colorfuls. They are the most-pulled chase tier in a box and the first ones most collectors go looking for.

The twelve Shining Colorful Rare cards of Fantasy Wonderland, two of each Mane Six

The eleven Shining Sapphires are events with a laser-etched or glitter finish, KAYOU's Alternate Art Events: Sunlight in the Rain, Time for Clean-up!, Deliver letters, Prepared to Go, Hair Curling, Pillow Fight, Rain Under the Roof, Hoof Power Test, Tense Competition, Accidentally Burnt Book and Found Scroll. None of the seven items has a Shining version.

The eleven Shining Sapphire Rare event cards of Fantasy Wonderland

The six Shining Golds are the lenticular, signed Everyday Moments, ※BP01-GR01 to GR06: Twilight Sparkle reading a scroll Spike has just breathed into being, Fluttershy with the birds at her birdhouse, Pinkie Pie with her party cannon, Applejack baking pies, Rainbow Dash flying through a hoop and Rarity in her glasses at the sewing machine. About one a box, and the one Shining tier in the set with a full signature on every card.

The six Shining Gold Rare cards of Fantasy Wonderland, the Mane Six at home

The twelve Shining Emeralds are a day and a night card of each of the six homes: Golden Oak Library, Fluttershy's Cottage, Sugarcube Corner, Sweet Apple Acres, Cloudominium and Carousel Boutique, under the numbers ※SD01-ER01 to ER06. KAYOU's page files them as "day" and "night"; the card face carries only the ※ and the number, so the lighting of the art is how you tell the pair apart. Each boosts its own pony by one Inspiration for a Contact, the same text as the base Scenes.

The twelve Shining Emerald Rare scene cards of Fantasy Wonderland, day and night of each home

    The base tiers, pictured

Ruby Rare (RR01 to RR06). KAYOU's heading is the Elements of Harmony: the Mane Six in a sunlit forest, each wearing her Element, Twilight the crown and the other five their necklaces, with the name in script and no gameplay text. Not the same art as the Shining Rubies, and the later sets keep that split: their base and Shining Rubies share numbers, not pictures. About one a box.

The six Ruby Rare cards of Fantasy Wonderland

Colorful Rare (CR01 to CR12). Two per Mane Six in full-character art under the heading Exciting Adventures, the base cards the Shining Colorfuls re-draw: Twilight in the library with Spike, Fluttershy in a sun hat with a spider, Pinkie Pie kitted out as an explorer, Applejack in the orchard, Rainbow Dash past a cliff of bats, Rarity with her gems, then a second round that ends with Rarity in a sunhat beside a basket of jewels.

The twelve Colorful Rare cards of Fantasy Wonderland

Gold Rare (GR01 to GR12). Two of each Mane Six with 3D foil stamping, Twilight Sparkle to Rarity and round again, under the heading Forest Adventure. The first six are a night camp: Twilight reading by the fire, Fluttershy asleep with Angel, Pinkie Pie roasting marshmallows, Applejack dozing in her tent, Rainbow Dash stretched out on a rainbow, Rarity at the fire with Zecora. The second six are the same woods by day. The first six share their numbers and rules text with the Shining Golds; the art is different.

The twelve Gold Rare cards of Fantasy Wonderland

Silver Rare (SR01 to SR14). The Mane Six, then the six pets with the Pet trait, Owlowiscious, Angel, Gummy, Winona, Tank and Opal, then Zecora and Trixie. Each pet keys off its owner: Angel gives a Fluttershy +2 Inspiration, Tank gives every Rainbow Dash +1, Winona costs one less to play while an Applejack is in your Retirement Area, and Fluttershy's and Rarity's own Silver Rares reward having Angel or Opal on the table.

The fourteen Silver Rare cards of Fantasy Wonderland

Emerald Rare (SD01-ER07 to ER12). Six line-art Scenes, each printed in a single colour on a holo card: Canterlot Tower for Twilight Sparkle, Ponyville Suburb for Fluttershy, Ponyville Street for Pinkie Pie, Road at Sweet Apple Acres for Applejack, Stairs of Cloudsdale for Rainbow Dash and Manehattan Streets for Rarity. Each gives its own pony +1 Inspiration for a Contact. These are the outdoor Scenes of the set; the six homes are the Shining Emeralds above.

The six Emerald Rare scene cards of Fantasy Wonderland

Sapphire Rare (SPR01 to SPR28). Twenty-one events and seven items. The events: Sunlight in the Rain, Time for Clean-up!, Deliver letters, Award Ceremony, Prepared to Go, Overspeed Warning!, Hair Curling, Pillow Fight, Rain Under the Roof, Wire Accident, Make a Cake, Hoof Power Test, Tense Competition, Messy Henhouse, Washing Day, Dig for Gems, Attend to Cure, Accidentally Burnt Book, Cycling for Friends, Head Up to the Night Sky and Found Scroll. The items, which a Character is "adorned" with and which only adorn their owner: Super Spicy Sauce (Twilight Sparkle), Soda (Applejack), Horseshoe (Rainbow Dash), Pinkie Pie's Flying Device and Recorder (Pinkie Pie), Thimble Pack (Rarity) and Fluttershy's Bell (Fluttershy).

The 28 Sapphire Rare event and item cards of Fantasy Wonderland

Uncommon (U01 to U18). Two of each Mane Six, two Spikes, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Trixie. The Crusaders each gain +2 Inspiration while another Crusader is beside them, which is the set's one tribal hook outside the Mane Six.

The eighteen Uncommon cards of Fantasy Wonderland

Common (C01 to C48). Three Twilight Sparkles, two each of the other five Mane Six, Spike, the three Crusaders, Big McIntosh, Granny Smith, Trixie, Gilda, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon and Mayor Mare, then the 24 Story cards pictured earlier. Gilda is the only Griffon in the set and Zecora, up at Silver Rare, the only Zebra.

The 24 Common character cards of Fantasy Wonderland

    Pull rates

KAYOU prints the Fantasy Wonderland production ratio on the official series page. In every 20 packs:

    • 6 packs hold two Commons, two Uncommon or Sapphire cards and one Emerald Rare.
    • 14 packs hold two Commons, one Uncommon or Sapphire, one card from the pool that runs Silver Rare, Ruby Rare, Gold Rare, Colorful Rare, Shining Gold, Shining Sapphire, Shining Colorful or Shining Ruby, and one Emerald or Shining Emerald.

KAYOU's note on the page says the ratio is based on a single pack, so a box is not a promise of a particular card. Worked across a case the way our Fantasy Wonderland value guide does it, the ratio puts the Shining Ruby at about one per 32-box case, the Shining Colorful at about one per eight boxes, the Shining Sapphire at about one per four boxes, and about one Ruby Rare, one Shining Gold and one Shining Emerald a box, with about two Gold Rares, two Colorful Rares and seven Silver Rares alongside. One wording difference from the later sets: on this page the fourteen-pack slot's pool starts at Silver Rare, where the DISCORD!!! and Nightmare Night pages also list Uncommon and Sapphire in it.

    How the chase tiers rank

KAYOU prints its odds per pack. The box and case figures are averages across 20-pack boxes, not a promise for any one box. Fantasy Wonderland has 191 cards, 5 to a pack.

Same number, different card. ※BP01-CR01 Twilight Sparkle is the Shining version of BP01-CR01 Twilight Sparkle: the same number and rules text with different art. In a listing title the ※ before the number is the only difference, so check for it before you pay a Shining price. The Shining Emeralds are the exception: they carry their own numbers, ※SD01-ER01 to ER06 in a day and a night version, apart from the pack's Emerald Rares (SD01-ER07 to ER12).

Card counts from KAYOU's Fantasy Wonderland series page; odds from KAYOU's Fantasy Wonderland ratio sheet. “One specific card” is the tier’s odds spread evenly across its cards.

What the set gives a deck

Fantasy Wonderland is the set the game's deck archetypes come from, and they are all Mane Six decks. Each pony has a pet and a home. Twilight has Owlowiscious and the Golden Oak Library, Fluttershy Angel and her Cottage, Pinkie Pie Gummy and Sugarcube Corner, Applejack Winona and Sweet Apple Acres, Rainbow Dash Tank and Cloudominium, Rarity Opal and Carousel Boutique, and every one of those cards names its pony on the face. A deck built around one of the six gets a pet that boosts her, a home Scene that boosts her, a street Scene that boosts her, and an item that only she can wear. Characters key off each other. The Common Big McIntosh draws a card when another Earth Pony is beside him, Spike's Common gains +2 Inspiration while Twilight is in your Retirement Area, and Owlowiscious gains +1 while Twilight is in play. Events are one-pony cards. Sunlight in the Rain only works with a Rainbow Dash out, Found Scroll with a Twilight, Hoof Power Test with an Applejack, so the events you run follow the pony you build around.

The Elements of Harmony Rubies and the framed Shining Rubies have no gameplay text at all. They are collector cards that happen to be legal, and the base Ruby's forest art is not the Shining Ruby's portrait, which is why both tiers get pictured above.

How the game plays, in one section

If you are coming to the game with this set, here is the shape of it. A deck is a 50-card Main Deck of Characters, Events and Items, a 15-card Scene Deck, four Story cards in stages one to four, and one Main Character card. You start with five cards in hand and put the top four cards of your Main Deck face down on your Story cards as Plans.

Each turn runs Starting, Main, Contact and End. Scenes are tapped to pay Force of Harmony, the cost of playing cards. In the Contact Phase your three Adventure lanes face your rival's three. Where you both have a Character, the higher Inspiration wins and the loser retires. Where only you have one, you take an action: promote your Main Character up the Story, or intervene on one of your rival's Plans to slow them down. You win by promoting your Main Character to the stage four Story card, or when your rival has to draw from an empty Main Deck. A game takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

A booster contains no rules and no ready-made deck. If nobody in the house plays yet, start with a Friendships Begin starter deck and add Fantasy Wonderland boosters to it. Our how-to-play guide has the full walkthrough, and the starter deck comparison helps you pick a deck.

How Fantasy Wonderland compares with DISCORD!!! and Nightmare Night

All three sets play together, and all three use the same 20-pack box, the same 13-tier ladder and the same printed pull ratio. The differences are in the source material and the cast. Fantasy Wonderland is the Season 1 set: six episodes as Story cards, the Mane Six homes and the street Scenes, the six pets, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Trixie, Gilda and Zecora. DISCORD!!! is the Season 2 set, with the interiors of the six homes, Discord, Daring Do and Philomena in the card pool and the Daring Do art on its Shining Golds. Nightmare Night is the first set with original Hasbro stories, the first with Nightmare Moon, Luna, Chrysalis and Sombra, and the first with a token mechanic.

Fantasy Wonderland is also the set the others lean on. The DISCORD!!! interiors are the insides of the six homes pictured here as Shining Emeralds, and a mono-pony deck wants both. For collectors, the pattern across all three is that the six Shining Ruby Mane Six lead each set's market, followed by the Shining Colorfuls. Our Fantasy Wonderland value guide has the dated sold figures for this set, tier by tier, and is the page to read before you pay a Shining price.

    Buying Fantasy Wonderland in Australia

We stock both English prints. The Fantasy Wonderland NA booster box is the North American print on KAYOU's page, MLP-KP-HXQJ-001-NA, and it is on pre-order against our next delivery, capped at eight boxes, with the dispatch date on the product page. The Fantasy Wonderland SEA booster box is the South-East Asian print, MLP-KP-HXQJ-001-UV, and it is sold out at the moment; the product page shows when it is back. The rest of the game is on the My Little Pony TCG hub, and everything is dispatched from NSW.

Both boxes are 20 packs of five cards, 100 cards in total, with the same BP01 card list and the same printed ratio, so a full box of either gives you the same odds at the Shining tiers. KAYOU's own renders show the same green and white display-box art on both; the item code on the box and the warning panel on the North American print are what tell them apart. There is no single-pack listing for this set.

Things that are easy to get wrong

Two English prints, one card list. MLP-KP-HXQJ-001-NA is the North American print and MLP-KP-HXQJ-001-UV the South-East Asian print. Same 191 cards, same BP01 numbers, same printed ratio, different box and item code. A listing that says only "English" could be either; the item code on the box settles it.

The Emeralds say SD01, not BP01. Every Scene in this set carries the starter-deck prefix. The six pack Scenes are SD01-ER07 to ER12 and the twelve Shining Emeralds ※SD01-ER01 to ER06, and the two groups are different places: streets and roads at base, the six homes as Shining. A seller writing "BP01-ER" means one of these.

The Shining Ruby is not a foil Ruby Rare. In this set the base Ruby Rares are the Elements of Harmony forest art and the Shining Rubies are the framed portraits, so the two tiers do not share a picture. Look for the ※ before the BP01 code and the frame around the art.

It is not the Friendship Eternal line. KAYOU also makes My Little Pony collectible cards with no gameplay. Fantasy Wonderland is Booster Pack 01 of the trading card game, card code BP01, and it only plays with the other TCG sets. Our series explainer walks through the difference.

"1st Edition" is printed on every card. The English cards carry a small "1st Edition" mark beside the card number. It is the print run's stamp, not a separate product, so a listing that charges extra for "first edition" is charging extra for the only edition there is.

The Chinese print shares the numbers. BP01-RR01 is the same card number in both languages, and plenty of listings never say which print they are. English boxes carry an MLP-KP-HXQJ-001 item code and English card text.

"BP01" is not only ponies. The same code is a Palworld set, a Yu-Gi-Oh Battle Pack, an Azur Lane set and an Ultraman set, so a bare code search turns up more of those than ponies. Add "pony" or a character's name.

Promo-stamped Colorful Rares are a different card. Launch events and distributor bundles handed out Colorful Rares with a promo stamp under pack-card numbers. They are not the Shining Colorfuls and not pack pulls; do not read one as the other.

KAYOU's own page mislabels one tier. The official series page heads the Silver Rare tier "Sapphire Rare". The cards read SR, Silver Rare, and SR is the code to search.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How many cards are in My Little Pony TCG Fantasy Wonderland?

191 card types across 13 rarity tiers, with five cards in every pack and 20 packs in the display box. Eight base tiers and five Shining parallels, the same ladder DISCORD!!! and Nightmare Night use.

Which Fantasy Wonderland cards have a Shining version?

All six Ruby Rares, all twelve Colorful Rares, eleven of the 21 Sapphire events (SPR01, 02, 03, 05, 07, 08, 09, 12, 13, 18 and 21), the first six Gold Rares under new art (※BP01-GR01 to GR06) and the six home Scenes twice over, as a day and a night card (※SD01-ER01 to ER06). The second six Golds, the seven items and the six pack Scenes (SD01-ER07 to ER12) have none.

What are the Fantasy Wonderland pull rates?

KAYOU prints the ratio on the official series page. Six packs in every 20 hold two Commons, two Uncommon or Sapphire cards and an Emerald; the other 14 swap one of those for a single card from the Silver Rare up to Shining Ruby pool and may upgrade the Emerald to a Shining Emerald. Worked across a case, that averages one Ruby Rare, one Shining Gold and one Shining Emerald a box, a Shining Sapphire about every four boxes, a Shining Colorful about every eight and a Shining Ruby about once a 32-box case.

Which Season 1 episodes are in Fantasy Wonderland?

The six Story cards are The Ticket Master, Curing Philomena (the episode A Bird in the Hoof), Party of One, Over a Barrel, Griffon the Brush Off and Suited For Success, one per Mane Six, in four stages each. The events reach across the rest of the season, from the Summer Sun Celebration to the Grand Galloping Gala preparations.

Why do the Fantasy Wonderland Emerald Rares say SD01?

Every Scene in the set is numbered under the starter-deck prefix. The six pack Scenes are SD01-ER07 to ER12 (Canterlot Tower, Ponyville Suburb, Ponyville Street, Road at Sweet Apple Acres, Stairs of Cloudsdale, Manehattan Streets) and the twelve Shining Emeralds are ※SD01-ER01 to ER06, the six homes by day and by night. They come out of Fantasy Wonderland packs all the same.

What is the difference between the NA and SEA Fantasy Wonderland boxes?

Both are the English print with the same 191 cards and the same printed ratio. MLP-KP-HXQJ-001-NA is the North American box KAYOU's en-US page describes, 20 packs of five cards, 32 boxes to a carton, dated March 2026; MLP-KP-HXQJ-001-UV is the earlier South-East Asian box. Neither is a different card set, and we stock both.

Can I play Fantasy Wonderland cards with DISCORD!!! and Nightmare Night?

Yes. All three are sets of the same game and share one rulebook, so cards from any of them go into the same 50-card Main Deck alongside the Friendships Begin starter cards. The Fantasy Wonderland homes and the DISCORD!!! interiors are built to be played together.

Where can I buy Fantasy Wonderland in Australia?

We stock the sealed English Fantasy Wonderland NA booster box, the SEA booster box when it is in stock, and the rest of the My Little Pony TCG range, dispatched from NSW.
