Hearth's Warming Eve is the fourth booster set of the English My Little Pony Trading Card Game, and the Christmas one. KAYOU has now published the full card list on its official series page, so this guide shows all 197 cards tier by tier with their printed numbers, gives KAYOU's printed pack ratio, explains the new Present tokens and covers when the set reaches Australia.
Everything here is about the English print (KAYOU item code MLP-KP-NLQH-004B-NA, card prefix BP04). Card images on this page are KAYOU's own, from the official Hearth's Warming Eve series page, which shows the North American print. Some Australian listings call the box "Hearth's Warming Eve Foil Packs" or "foil booster packs": it is the same 20-pack display box under the same item code.
Quick Answer: Hearth's Warming Eve (Booster Pack 04) has 197 cards across 14 tiers, five cards a pack and 20 packs a display box. It adds six original four-stage Christmas stories, one per Mane Six, a Present token for each of them, and the six Pillars of Equestria as Gold Rares with Shining versions. The top chase is the six Shining Ruby Rare Mane Six. KAYOU lists the North American release as October 2026; KAYOU's Australian distributor receives it in late November 2026, and our boxes are dispatched from NSW by 12 December 2026.
What Hearth's Warming Eve is
Hearth's Warming Eve is Equestria's winter holiday, the founding-of-Equestria story the ponies stage every year, plus snow, presents and family dinners. Like Nightmare Night before it, the set is built on stories Hasbro wrote for the cards rather than on episodes. The printed titles, with their four stages, are:
- Twilight Sparkle's New Tradition: Shining Shimmering Welcome, Crystal Cutie Mark Tree, The Heart Shines Brighter, Joy Throughout the Empire
- Fluttershy and the Discord Dinner: Discord at the Dinner Party, Chaos in the Kitchen, The Snowflake Mistake, A Sprinkle of Kindness
- Pinkie Pie's Warm Gummy Welcome: Gummy's Debut, A Chip Off the Old Rock, The Rock Soup Problem, A Squishy Solution
- Applejack and the Very Fancy Feast: An Elegant Welcome, Bedazzling the Barn, Confusion On the Farm, Honest to the Core
- Rainbow Dash and the Snowfall Showdown: Race to Cloudsdale, Cloudy Chaos, Hailstorm Heroes, The Spirit of Loyalty
- Style with Heart: Season of Style, Sweater Weather, Cozy Chic, The Warmth We Share (Rarity's story)

Twilight's story is set in the Crystal Empire with Princess Cadance and Shining Armor, Fluttershy's has Discord at the dinner table, Pinkie Pie takes Gummy to meet the Pie family at the rock farm, and Applejack's runs at Sweet Apple Acres. The 24 Story cards are numbered BP04-C25 to C48, at the Common tier, so all six stories can come out of a single box.
The cast is the widest yet. The Gold Rare tier pairs the Mane Six with the six Pillars of Equestria: Star Swirl the Bearded, Mistmane, Rockhoof, Flash Magnus, Somnambula and Mage Meadowbrook. Silver Rares add Spike, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Princess Cadance, Shining Armor, Trixie and Spitfire, and the Uncommons give each of the Mane Six's pets a card (Owlowiscious, Angel, Gummy, Winona, Tank and Opal) alongside Granny Smith, Big McIntosh and Lightning Dust.
Card list and rarity ladder
The set runs to 197 card types across 14 tiers: the same eight base tiers and five Shining (※) tiers as the first three sets, plus a Token tier for the six Presents. The tier counts are KAYOU's, from the official series page. The card numbers are the ones printed on the cards: KAYOU's page lists the twelve Gold Rares as BP02-GR01 to GR06 and BP03-GR07 to GR12, and the Shining Golds without the ※, but every one of those faces reads BP04-GR or ※BP04-GR.
| Tier | Name | Card types | Numbers | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| C | Common | 48 | BP04-C01 to C48 | 24 characters and the 24 Story cards |
| TK | Token | 6 | TK-02 to TK-07 | One Present for each of the Mane Six |
| U | Uncommon | 18 | BP04-U01 to U18 | Mane Six, their six pets, Spike, Trixie, Granny Smith, Big McIntosh, Spitfire, Lightning Dust |
| SR | Silver Rare | 14 | BP04-SR01 to SR14 | Mane Six, Spike, the Crusaders, Cadance, Shining Armor, Trixie, Spitfire |
| SPR | Sapphire Rare | 28 | BP04-SPR01 to SPR28 | Foil event and item cards |
| ER | Emerald Rare | 6 | BP04-ER01 to ER06 | Six scenes, drawn as line-art outlines |
| GR | Gold Rare | 12 | BP04-GR01 to GR12 | Mane Six and the six Pillars of Equestria |
| CR | Colorful Rare | 12 | BP04-CR01 to CR12 | Two full-character arts of each Mane Six |
| RR | Ruby Rare | 6 | BP04-RR01 to RR06 | Mane Six, no gameplay text |
| ER※ | Shining Emerald | 12 | ※BP04-ER01-A to ER06-B | Each scene in full colour, two versions |
| GR※ | Shining Gold | 6 | ※BP04-GR07 to GR12 | The six Pillars of Equestria |
| SPR※ | Shining Sapphire | 11 | ※BP04-SPR02, 03, 04, 06, 09, 11, 17, 25, 26, 27, 28 | Eleven of the 28 events and items |
| CR※ | Shining Colorful | 12 | ※BP04-CR01 to CR12 | Alternate arts of each Mane Six |
| RR※ | Shining Ruby | 6 | ※BP04-RR01 to RR06 | The top chase |
Three things are new against Nightmare Night. The Token tier is new. The Emerald Rares are now six single-card scenes rather than three-part panels, and the base versions are printed as coloured line art, so the full-colour scene only exists as a Shining Emerald, in an A and a B version. And the set is back to six Shining Golds, all of them Pillars: none of the Mane Six Golds (GR01 to GR06) has a Shining version.
The chase tiers, pictured
The six Shining Ruby Rares are the top chase. Each is a full-art Mane Six portrait in a stained-glass frame with the artist's signature and no gameplay text, numbered ※BP04-RR01 to RR06 in the usual order: Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity.

The twelve Shining Colorful Rares are alternate arts of each Mane Six, ※BP04-CR01 to CR12, two per pony, with festive scenes behind them.

The six Shining Golds are new art for the Pillars of Equestria: Star Swirl the Bearded, Mistmane, Rockhoof, Flash Magnus, Somnambula and Mage Meadowbrook, ※BP04-GR07 to GR12.

The eleven Shining Sapphires are full-art versions of a hand-picked eleven of the event and item cards: Build a Snowpony, Hearth's Warming Doll, The Birth of Equestria, Decorate the House, Baking Lesson, Muted, Upside Down, Holder's Boulder, Alicorn Emblem, Magic Emblem and Rarity's Tent. That is why their numbers skip.

The twelve Shining Emeralds are the six scenes in full colour, each in an A and a B version with a different colour scheme: Hearth's Warming Eve Show Stage, Show Backstage, the Unicorns', Earth Ponies' and Pegasi's Hearth's Warming Eve Presents, and Unwrap the Hearth's Warming Eve Present.

The base tiers, pictured
Ruby Rare (RR01 to RR06). The six Mane Six in holiday scenes without a frame, under the same numbers as the Shining Rubies but with different art.

Colorful Rare (CR01 to CR12). Two per Mane Six, the base versions of the Colorful slot.

Gold Rare (GR01 to GR12). The Mane Six in the snow, then the six Pillars of Equestria. Only the Pillars have Shining versions.

Silver Rare (SR01 to SR14). The Mane Six, Spike, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Princess Cadance, Shining Armor, Trixie and Spitfire.

Emerald Rare (ER01 to ER06). The six scenes as line-art outlines: two green Everyday scenes (the Show Stage and Show Backstage) and four red Present scenes.

Sapphire Rare (SPR01 to SPR28). The events and items: Find Another Way, Build a Snowpony, Hearth's Warming Doll, The Birth of Equestria, Stage Costume, Decorate the House, Icy Lick, A Wholesome Embrace, Baking Lesson, Teatime!, Muted, Rebuild the Barn, Sunbathe, Gather Lumber, Ponies in Disguise, Camping Buddies, Upside Down, Deep Sleep, Cleaning up, Crisis Incoming, Obstacle Race, Gingerbread House, Hearth's Warming Bell, Heartwarming Gift, Holder's Boulder, Alicorn Emblem, Magic Emblem and Rarity's Tent.

Uncommon (U01 to U18). One of each Mane Six, their six pets, then Spike, Trixie, Granny Smith, Big McIntosh, Spitfire and Lightning Dust.

Common (C01 to C48). Two of each Mane Six, Spike, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Babs Seed, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Snips, Snails, Bulk Biceps, Ms. Harshwhinny and Ms. Peachbottom, then the 24 Story cards pictured earlier.

Token (TK-02 to TK-07). The six Presents, one for each of the Mane Six, explained below.

Pull rates
KAYOU prints the Hearth's Warming Eve pack ratio on the official series page. In every 20 packs:
- 6 packs hold one Common, one Common or Present token, two Uncommon or Sapphire cards and one Emerald Rare.
- 14 packs hold two Commons, one Uncommon or Sapphire, one card from the pool that runs Uncommon, Sapphire, Silver Rare, Gold Rare, Colorful Rare, Shining Sapphire, Shining Gold, Ruby Rare, Shining Ruby or Shining Colorful, and one Emerald or Shining Emerald.
That is the same make-up as the first three sets with one change: in six packs of every 20, a Present token can take a Common's place. The slot the chase cards come from is unchanged. KAYOU says the ratio is based on a single pack, so a particular card is never guaranteed in a box, and it prints no separate odds for each tier. The table below works the Fantasy Wonderland per-tier odds, the only ones KAYOU has printed for the game, across this set's tier sizes. We will add a counted English sample once our boxes are open.
How the chase tiers rank
KAYOU prints its odds per pack. The box and case figures are averages across 20-pack boxes, not a promise for any one box. Hearth's Warming Eve has 197 cards, 5 to a pack.
| Tier | Cards in set | Odds per pack | On average | One specific card |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shining Ruby Rare (RR※) | 6 | 1 in 640 packs | About 1 per case (32 boxes) | About 1 in 192 boxes |
| Shining Colorful Rare (CR※) | 12 | 1 in 160 packs | About 1 per 8 boxes | About 1 in 96 boxes |
| Shining Sapphire Rare (SPR※) | 11 | 1 in 80 packs | About 1 per 4 boxes | About 1 in 44 boxes |
| Shining Gold Rare (GR※) | 6 | 1 in 20 packs | About 1 per box | About 1 in 6 boxes |
| Shining Emerald Rare (ER※) | 12 | 1 in 20 packs | About 1 per box | About 1 in 12 boxes |
| Ruby Rare (RR) | 6 | 1 in 20 packs | About 1 per box | About 1 in 6 boxes |
| Colorful Rare (CR) | 12 | 1 in 10 packs | About 2 per box | About 1 in 6 boxes |
| Gold Rare (GR) | 12 | 1 in 10 packs | About 2 per box | About 1 in 6 boxes |
| Silver Rare (SR) | 14 | 1 in 2.9 packs | About 7 per box | About 1 in 2 boxes |
Same number, different card. ※BP04-RR01 Twilight Sparkle is the Shining version of BP04-RR01 Twilight Sparkle: the same number and rules text with different art. In a listing title the ※ before the number is the only difference, so check for it before you pay a Shining price. The Shining Emeralds come in two colour versions of each scene, marked A and B after the number (※BP04-ER01-A and ※BP04-ER01-B), and the six Shining Golds are the Pillars of Equestria only, ※BP04-GR07 to GR12.
KAYOU prints Hearth's Warming Eve's pack make-up but no odds for each tier, so the odds shown are the Fantasy Wonderland table, which fits the same make-up. The one change in the make-up is that a Present token can take a Common's place in 6 packs of every 20, which leaves the chase slot as it was. The 5-pack bundles are a different product, so these odds are for the 20-pack box. Card counts from KAYOU's Hearth's Warming Eve series page; odds from KAYOU's Fantasy Wonderland ratio sheet. “One specific card” is the tier’s odds spread evenly across its cards.
Present tokens: the new rule
Each of the Mane Six has a Present token card: Twilight Sparkle's Present (TK-02) through Rarity's Present (TK-07). Cards put a Present on a Character with the Deliver Present keyword: every story's stage one card reads "Deliver Present. When promoted to this stage, choose 1 Character in your Adventure Area, put 1" of that pony's Presents on it. Three of the red Emerald scenes deliver Presents too, and the fourth, Unwrap the Hearth's Warming Eve Present, opens one.
At the beginning of each turn you can Unwrap a Present: its effect triggers, then it is removed. Each pony's gift is different. Twilight Sparkle's looks at the top two cards of your deck and keeps one, Pinkie Pie's gives the Character that held it plus four Inspiration, Rainbow Dash's lets you move that Character to an empty slot in your Adventure Area, and Rarity's gives a rival Character minus one Inspiration. As with Nightmare Night's Treats, many cards care whether a Character "has had" a Present, so unwrapping it does not switch those effects off. Stage four of every story is the familiar line: "When promoted to this stage, you win the game."
How Hearth's Warming Eve compares with the first three sets
All four sets play together and share the 20-pack box and the base ladder. Fantasy Wonderland introduced the Mane Six and the Season 1 locations, DISCORD!!! drew on Season 2 episodes, and Nightmare Night brought original stories and the first token, the Treat. Hearth's Warming Eve keeps the original-story format, adds the Token tier, swaps the three-panel Emerald scenes for six single-card scenes, and puts the Pillars of Equestria in the chase tiers. Our Nightmare Night card-list guide, DISCORD!!! card-list guide and Fantasy Wonderland card-list guide picture the earlier sets the same way.
The pattern from the first three sets is that the six Shining Ruby Mane Six lead each set's market, followed by the Shining Colorfuls. Hearth's Warming Eve has no English sales history yet, and we will add a value guide once there is a month of it to report.
Buying Hearth's Warming Eve in Australia
KAYOU lists the North American release as October 2026. KAYOU's Australian distributor receives the set in late November 2026, and the Hearth's Warming Eve booster box is on pre-order with us now: you are charged at checkout and the box is dispatched from NSW by 12 December 2026, in time for Christmas, with a full refund available if we miss that date.
The box is 20 packs of five cards, 100 cards in total, and KAYOU packs 32 boxes to a carton. If nobody in the house plays yet, pair it with a Friendships Begin starter deck: a booster contains no rules and no ready-made deck. Our how-to-play guide has the full walkthrough. If you want cards before December, Nightmare Night is in stock now and plays with everything here.
Things that are easy to get wrong
It is not the Friendship Eternal line. KAYOU also makes My Little Pony collectible cards with no gameplay, and our Friendship Eternal Rainbow box has a Cozy Hearthside Chat chase set that is easy to confuse with this one. Hearth's Warming Eve the booster set is Booster Pack 04 of the trading card game, card code BP04, and it only plays with the other TCG sets. Our series explainer walks through the difference.
The Gold Rares are BP04 cards. KAYOU's own page codes the Mane Six Golds BP02 and the Pillars BP03, which makes them look like reprints from DISCORD!!! and Nightmare Night. They are not: every face prints BP04-GR01 to GR12, and the Shining Pillars print ※BP04-GR07 to GR12.
The base Emeralds are meant to look unfinished. The six Emerald Rares are printed as coloured line art. That is the card, not a misprint; the full-colour art is the Shining Emerald.
Bundles are different products. KAYOU lists North American bundles for the set as well as the 20-pack box (item codes ending -CP, -BD01 and -BD02), and prints no ratio for them. They draw on the same 197 cards, but a bundle opening is not a box opening, so do not read box odds into one.
The ※ is the whole difference in the code. A Shining card shares its number with the base card but not its picture. In a listing title the ※ before the BP04 code is all that separates them, so look for it before you pay a Shining price.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many cards are in My Little Pony TCG Hearth's Warming Eve?
197 card types across 14 tiers, with five cards in every pack and 20 packs in a display box. That is the usual eight base tiers and five Shining tiers, plus six Present tokens.
Which Hearth's Warming Eve cards have a Shining version?
All six Ruby Rares, all twelve Colorful Rares, the six Pillar of Equestria Gold Rares (GR07 to GR12), eleven of the 28 Sapphire Rares (SPR02, 03, 04, 06, 09, 11, 17, 25, 26, 27 and 28) and all six Emerald scenes, twice each. The Mane Six Golds have none.
What are the Hearth's Warming Eve pull rates?
KAYOU prints the pack ratio on the official series page. Six packs in every 20 hold one Common, one Common or Present token, two Uncommon or Sapphire cards and an Emerald; the other 14 hold two Commons, one Uncommon or Sapphire, one card from the Uncommon up to Shining Ruby pool, and an Emerald or Shining Emerald. KAYOU prints no odds for each tier, and the ratio is per pack, so a particular card is never guaranteed in a box.
What are Present tokens in the My Little Pony TCG?
The token introduced with Hearth's Warming Eve. Each of the Mane Six has a Present card (TK-02 to TK-07). Story cards, scenes and characters deliver a Present to a Character, and at the beginning of a turn you can unwrap it to trigger that pony's effect, then remove it. Many cards reward a Character that has had a Present.
What are the chase cards in Hearth's Warming Eve?
The six Shining Ruby Rare Mane Six (※BP04-RR01 to RR06), then the twelve Shining Colorful Rares, the six Shining Gold Pillars of Equestria, the eleven Shining Sapphires and the twelve Shining Emerald scenes.
When does Hearth's Warming Eve release in Australia?
KAYOU lists the North American release as October 2026, and KAYOU's Australian distributor receives the set in late November 2026. Our pre-order boxes are dispatched from NSW by 12 December 2026.
Can I play Hearth's Warming Eve cards with the other sets?
Yes. Fantasy Wonderland, DISCORD!!!, Nightmare Night and Hearth's Warming Eve are sets of the same game and share one rulebook, so cards from any of them go into the same deck alongside the Friendships Begin starter cards.
Where can I buy Hearth's Warming Eve in Australia?
We sell the sealed English Hearth's Warming Eve booster box on pre-order, dispatched from NSW by 12 December 2026, alongside the rest of the My Little Pony TCG range.
