About this product
What's in the bundle
The complete six-deck Friendships Begin starter display plus a sealed Fantasy Wonderland booster box.
The starter display holds all six Mane Six character decks — Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity and Applejack. Each is a complete 70-card deck (50-card Main Deck, 15-card Scene Deck, a Ruby Rare Main Character and 4 Story Cards), with 3 booster packs and a paper playmat carrying the rules on its reverse. The Fantasy Wonderland box adds 20 packs of 5 cards.
Why both halves are needed
This is the bundle that solves a real ordering trap. A booster box on its own contains no rules and no playable deck, so it cannot teach anyone the game. A single starter deck can teach it, but a two-player game needs two different character decks.
The six-deck display covers both problems at once, and the booster box then widens what those decks can be built into. Starters to learn and play with, boosters to grow — in the right order.
How the MLP TCG works
Force of Harmony is the cost to put cards into play; Inspiration is a Character's strength when it meets a rival in a Contact. Turns run through four phases — Starting, Main, Contact and End — across Scene, Story, Retirement and Adventure areas, with up to 3 characters on your Adventure.
You win by promoting your Main Character to the stage four Story card, or when their Main Deck runs out. Games take about 20–30 minutes and the game is rated ages 6 and up. Everything ships factory-sealed in one parcel from NSW.
