How the MLP TCG works
This is KAYOU's genuinely playable My Little Pony line, not the Friendship Eternal collectible range. Force of Harmony is the cost to put cards into play; Inspiration is a Character's strength when it meets a rival in a Contact.
Turns run through four phases — Starting, Main, Contact and End — across Scene, Story, Retirement and Adventure areas, with up to 3 characters on your Adventure at once. You win by promoting your Main Character to the stage four Story card, or when your opponent's Main Deck runs out. Games take roughly 20–30 minutes and the game is rated ages 6 and up.
Series 2 as an expansion, not a starting point
DISCORD!!! adds to an existing card pool. It is not a way into the game on its own — a booster box contains no rules and no ready-to-play deck.
If nobody in the house plays yet, start with a Friendships Begin starter deck: 70 cards, pre-built, with the rules printed on the included playmat. Series 1 Fantasy Wonderland boosters and this Series 2 box then both serve the same purpose of widening what you can build.
