About this product
What a blind box means
This is a blind box, so the figure inside is random. You are buying one sealed box from the Magical Tides series, not a character of your choosing, and there is no marking on the outside that tells you which of the nine is inside.
The figure arrives sealed in a silver foil bag, so the reveal happens when you open it. If you are collecting towards a full set, buying several boxes does not guarantee nine different characters, because duplicates are possible.
The nine characters
Shellscape, Hayami, Kelpy, Jellyfina, Mishell, Abalona, Pearletta and Delphine make up the standard eight.
Ophelia is the chaser, packed at a printed ratio of 1 in 48. A paper insert in every box lists the full line-up so you can track what you still need.
Size, finish and display
Each Mermicorno stands about 70mm tall, which is roughly 2.75 inches. The Magical Tides theme is coral reefs and sparkling seas, so the figures lean on semi-transparent vinyl for tails and fins and iridescent paint for the bodies, with shells, jellyfish and pearls worked into the sculpts.
Mermicornos are the mermaid branch of tokidoki's Unicorno family. tokidoki is a Los Angeles based character brand founded in 2005 by the Italian artist Simone Legno.
